The child in us
reason being an inevitable cycle tussle they had.
Instantaneously I was taken back in time and indelible
memories flashed infront of my mind.
Oh!! What days I had in my innocent childhood.
So many friends and so many cousins at home(I belong
to a joint family).
I still remember those days of childish cricket in
courtyards of my home. Those childhood games.
Ah!! How I wish I could go back in time.
The best song which I think makes me remember my childhood
is the song sung by phenomenal Ghazal singer, Jagjit Singh.
The song goes like this,
"Woh Kagaz ki kashti, woh baarish ka paani...."
(That dinghy of paper, those waters of rain...)

Thirteen Strangers
I attended a Blogger's meet on Saturday. We have formed a group called
BLOG'A'LOREANS which consists of Bloggers from Bangalore.
I wrote a small poem for the meeting and also an ambigram for the group.
The details about the meeting can be found here.
Thirteen strangers from diverse backgrounds,
Come together to echo common sounds.
Purpose, objectives, ambitions and will,
They have enough minds to drill.
Thoughts, ideas and interactions,
Gradually developing into productive communications.
Blogging has been a common interest,
Here, the gregarious youth is full of zest.
'Freedom of speech' seems the common theme,
With time, the group will expand its realm.
'Web' is building a blogger's fellowship,
A greater reach, a social network, a 'virtual' ownership.

I see only eyes
I have written this poem on his long awaited request.
This ochre black ambience under diminishing sunlight;
The surreal silence evokes feelings,
Abyssmal darkness seems to grow,

My mom - my goddess
working at heart. Very few people sacrifice a good life
for a good cause. Very few people sustain in a joint family
of 60 members. Very few people are deeply caring and loving.
Very few people sacrifice their happiness to give happiness
to others. Very few people learn a lot of things, do a lot of
things and still don't get what they deserve in life. Very few
people have enormous potentials so that they can be compared
to Gods.
An intersection of all these qualities is my mother - a great
cook, a dedicated house wife, a learner even at the age of 50,
a pious person and a great human being.
She is my goddess.
Kudos to you, Uma Devi Bora, my mother!!

The symbol of LOVE
The pic has been taken from this site.
I wrote two lines for this great monument.
"The body is mortal but the soul is divine,
The landmark of LOVE will stand all tests of time."

A translation but thought provoking
"Mukaddar ka Sikandar". The following four lines relate
very much to my first post in this blog.
"zindagii to bevafaa hai ek din Thukaraaegii
maut mahabuubaa hai apane saath lekar jaaegii
mar ke jiine kii adaa jo duniyaa ko sikhalaaegaa
vo muqaddar kaa sikandar...
rote hue aate hai.n sab, ha.nsataa huaa jo jaaegaa
vo muqaddar kaa sikandar jaaneman kahalaaegaa"
I have taken this lyrics from this site.
This movie was a Bollywood Blockbuster. The cast included
Amitabh Bachchan. The lyrics had been written by Anjaan.
"Life is so unfaithful, she will ditch you some time
Death is your beloved, she will take you with her
The one who teaches the style of living even after death,
will be entitled as the Alexander of kismet (luck).
Everyone comes crying into this world, the one who goes smiling,
will be entitled as the Alexander of kismet (luck)."
Note: Kismet is a valid English word

One of the wierd creations of my mind
I wrote this one in my teenage years :)
TRAP
Bounded, closed, boxed, cuffed, trapped
Nothing but I see, the minds.
Chained and roped around by
the physical and chemical changes though worldly.
Brains governing the attitudes, the character
but seems to be a corrupt government.
That naturally is.....
Hard to find an honest one
This mental tug of war tearing them apart
or so to say everybody
The circumstances, situations and events
Driving the capital government crazy.
Trap of emotions being deviced
The gray matter tries to hold on the convulsions.
But these convulsions very meagre
Compared to the logical ones.
The trap more like a swamp
Keeps on pulling you and me.
You and I still hold on that hanging banyan
In hope to survive
The government continues...
Loaded with nexuses and sectors of traps
Clutches on my mind - Silicon carbide.

Confidence
We are here to make a dent in the universe, otherwise why would we be here?

The Witch
I wrote two poems --
"Hand Mirror and the Comb" which praises the female entity.
"The Witch" which shows the negative side.
I won't post the former one.
This poem is dedicated to my dear friend, who
got ditched by his girl friend.
The Witch
Her innocent face resembles a goddess,
Beware!! She is a witch in disguise.
You get swayed in her soothing styles,
Only to land up in dismay.
She feigns to be your partner,
But at heart - you discover, you're forlorn.
Her plastic face hides her 'green' heart,
Which is devoid of warmth and sanguine fervor.
Her sorcery enchants your senses,
And her spells guide your emotions.
She uses you, tempts you, plays with you;
The feminine bait tricks the fatuous male.
By the time - you realize...
You are at the brink of annihilation.

INSTALLING LOVE
I really liked this one.
:)
Customer Service: Can you install Love?
Customer: I can do that. I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready to install now. What do I do first?
Service: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?
Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?
Service: What programs are running?
Customer: Let me see!! I have Pasthurt.exe, Lowesteem.exe, Grudge.exe and Resentment.com running right now.
Service: No problem. Love will automatically erase Pasthurt.exe from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually overwrite Lowesteem.exe with a module of its own, called Highesteem.exe. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge.exe and Resentment.com. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?
Service: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke Forgiveness.exe. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge.exe and Resentment.com have been completely erased.
Customer: Okay, I'm done. Love has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?
Service: Yes it is. You should receive a message that says it will reinstall for the life of your Heart. Do you see that message?
Customer: Yes I do. Is it completely installed? Service: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts to get the upgrades. Customer: Oops!! I have an error message already. What should I do?
Service: What does the message say? Customer: It says "Error 412. Program not run on internal components." What does that mean?
Service: Don't worry, that's a common problem. It means that the Love program is set up to run on external Hearts but has not yet been running on your Heart. It is one of those complicated programming things, but in non-technical terms it means that you have to 'love' your own machine before it can 'love' others.
Customer: So what should I do?
Service: Can you find the directory called 'Self-acceptance'?
Customer: Yes, I have it. Service: Excellent, you are getting good at this.
Customer: Thank you.
Service: You're welcome. Click on the following files and then copy them to the 'Myheart' directory: Forgiveself.doc, Selfesteem.txt, Realizeworth.txt and Goodness.doc. The system will overwrite conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Selfcriticize.exe from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it! Wow! My Heart is filling up with really neat files. Smile.mpg is playing on my monitor right now, and it shows that Warmth.com, Peace.exe and Contentment.com are copying themselves all over my Heart! Service: Then Love is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. One more thing before I go.
Customer: Yes?
Service: Love is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you are meeting. They will in turn share it with other people, and they will return some really neat modules back to you.
Customer: I will. Thank you for your help.
Service: You're very welcome.
