Do you know Russian?

Even I don't know Russian but for the 33 alphabets in the language.
Recently, I was asked by one of my friends to design something for
him. I didn't have the software, so he managed the software from
somewhere.

To my dismay, the software was in Russian language. I was bamboozled
for a moment that how would I design using that language. The whole
language seemed a cipher to me.

But again, it was a challenge and I took it up and finally did it.

I'm sorry I cannot post those designs but for me, it was a great
achievement.

I must say,

"Visual language is greater than any other language of the world."

The Signal Of Joy

One year back I was in New Delhi for a training in my company
which deals in Telecom software.
During that time, we all people went to a Disco for party which
was titled 'CDMA'. I was accompanied by people from
different parts of India and we had loads of fun.

I wrote a poem in that clamorous environment which is a
mixture of telecommunication and literature.

Emotions pouring through the body,
Feelings are sublime.
Warm triggers flowing in the neural structure;
Only frequency of joy varying with time.

Music beats analogous to discrete signals,
Welcome transforms cherished in life.
Cerebrations vanishing to a point;
Smothered by a 'jovial' knife.

People involved in convergent talk,
Multiplexing the threads of happiness.
Frequencies of different directions
Encoding India into a sense of oneness.

The techies emulating the demigods,
Their schemes - GSM, Telephony & CDMA.
Scenario reliquishing the mind;
Enjoyment - The synonym is CDMA.

I'm a fan of ROCK

I started listening to Rock music coz of my cousins who are die hard GUNS N' ROSES fans.
This wall painting was done by me on their request. It was completed swiftly and to my surprise, it turned out quite good.

Some more tattoos done by me on their request can be found here.

Happy Diwali

The festival of lights,
The music of crackers,
The sweetness of delicacies,
And the blessings of the goddess,
Usher a new era in your life.
HAPPY DIWALI!

I'm frustrated

I have never wanted to write about my life at my work place because it has always been boring and frustrating. But I'm forced to write today about it. I don't get any chance to innovate and apply my mind. I call myself an engineer and the pathetic software industry doesn't even give me chance to do the basics of what an engineer must do.

That's weird. Isn't it? Yes it is. But that is the truth.

The basic of computer science is basic Math. The truth is people would find it hard many times to implement basic math in the Indian IT industry. I don't want to talk much about the industry and its process. I want to throw light on one of the surreal experiences I had, recently. It has been 2 years in the industry and I never had a team. I have been working all alone without any team. The so called team members are sitting far away and they never gave any help of any kind. I have a senior at work place that unfortunately speaking, gets agog at my questions most of the times.

I encountered a problem during the development of an application. I restructured the practical problem into a theoretical question of basic math with 3 unknown variables. I could have solved this scenario by using algebra but the best way would have been to use probability as estimation of one of the variables could be done on runtime by some analysis. I am a bit cranky with probability. So I asked my senior to help me out. Instantaneously, his face got pale. He seemed helpless and his answer was, "I don't know." I asked him that whether he can inquire in the office about the same. He said, "It is highly unlikely that anybody would know probability in depth." Finally, I solved the problem using algebra and algorithmic techniques. I derived a formula and implemented that in the program.
But, I was very frustrated.

That incident makes me laugh at myself. I expect my seniors to be more intelligent than me. I expect them to be a better engineer than me.
Sadly though, that is not the case.

Mathematics & Love

Once a Mathematics Professor went to propose a girl.
He said, "O my lady! Would you accept my -(1+sin(t))
and tie a Mobius knot with me for lifetime."
I plotted the graph at this site.
It's a rotated Cardioid.

Just a moment

I wrote this one when I was in 11th Grade. Hence it is a bit immature and inane.

One out of three is on the roll followed by the other two;
It's just a moment.

The dreams are made and shattered,
It's just a moment.

The scenario changes every other second,
It's just a moment.

Critics turn admirers and contrary the other moment;
Dramatic. Isn't it? But it's just a moment.

Skyscrapers bending to kiss the bottom,
It's just a moment.

Wild nexus - Politicians and criminals,
It's just a moment.

A tree is being freed;
Sarcastic. It's just a moment.

Opportunities in life gone begging,
It's just a moment.

An innocent thrown in dungeons of brothel.
It's just a moment.

Oh! Life being brutally massacred,
It's just a moment.

Moments mapping the whole life;
It's just a moment.

Durga Puja

Yesterday, I successfully completed my Navratri fasting (fasting for
9 days).
Maa Durga has been a revelation in my life as her blessings have
always been on me.

I was happy that my dedication towards the goddess was increasing.
At the same time, I was sad that I could not go to my native place
and enjoy the fun during "DURGA PUJA". It's been five long years
and I still miss it.
The crowd of devotees, the hustle and bustle of the Puja pandals,
the cuisines.
Why is it that the Puja is not celebrated in the same manner
in Bangalore as in the eastern part of India?
I know this question doesn't make much sense as every place
is different with its variegated culture and tradition.
Still, this question unconditionally hovers my mind.
In Hindi, we have a saying, "Jaisa Desh waisa Bhesh"
which means "As the country, so is you guise."
So that's how it is.
Nevertheless, I pray that the goddess usher her blessings
over all the beings of the World.

Ever wondered, how alone is a tree!

Some time back I thought of posting this one but did not post it.
I think it is not very well written. May be I'll improve it.

So here it is,

Solitude of the tree, an inkling of 'life',
Is so unknown, night and day;
We enjoy the shade and its halcyon ambience,
Instantaneously, our worries get blown away.

The tree bears the 'ruthless' Sun,
Stubborn life is the stubborn tree,
It stands the deluge of 'time'
Strong foundation is the key.

Wrath of nature impounded on the body,
Loses leaves, loses magnificence, loses tenacity,
Still it stands tall against the odds;
Its solitary life is full of acerbity.

Onset of spring - the greenery flutters;
Cheers, joys, happiness
Inside it discovers, it is still alone,
Lies are more and truth is less.

The feelings - underneath the bark,
Oozing droplets of sap - one, two, three;
Life and tree are essentially analogous,
Ever wondered, how alone is a tree!

Creativity Unleashed

I have been a reader of a blog called Damn Cool Pics.
In a recent post called Creative Work of Art from Ordinary Things, they have shown some extraordinary stuff. The reason I am writing about this post is that I had done some creative work of such kinds in the past. It is unfortunate that I don't have any pics coz most of such things I gifted to others who are important to me. Nevertheless, the mentioned blog has become a photo gallery. Hope you enjoy it.
In the next post, I will post something for which I have kept my readers waiting for a long time.

Splendid Referer, splendid content - SAW-ed the Youtube

I have been very fortunate to get some reliable, intelligent and cool friends during the course of my life. One among them is Amit Saurav. He is a brilliant programmer, a computer science freak and a crispy cool personality. Currently pursuing his MS in Stony Brook, he has an aim of stamping his authority in the field of Computer Science. Someday, he will definately do this.

He referred me this link last week as he has seen me doing such kinda things earlier. I can definately make this one but it will take me another 10 years of practise to match the speed.Do visit Amit's blog and Amit's googlepages for his thoughts, insights and achievements.
