Summer Penguin

I delve into the black and whites,

Flipping and flapping, my wings like kites.

Oh dear! The flight is not my ability,

I compensate with my love and agility.

I love the warmth of Summer,

Rolling on the liquid ice, my skin turns umber.

My desires fulfilled and I am happy;

Flooded by the Sun, I am energetic and snappy.

I jump and hump, bray and honk,

Looking for a mate and a bonk.

My happiness, my excitement, my life,

In summer, I seek my spiritual wife.

You ask, a Penguin likes the Sun?

Not many but I do.

I live free, not underground;

The melody of freedom has a soothing sound.
